Default Build question

Ello Everyone,

I started playing 5 hours ago, lvl 7 N/Mo. I waited to spend any of my skill points before I got the feel of the class and it's skills and of course find a simple build to start with. While I was cruising the builds I hit a knowledge speed bumb.

"[build prof=N/Mo Name="Baseline Minion Master" death=12+1+3 soul=10+1 heal=8][Animate Flesh Golem][Animate Bone Fiend][Animate Bone Horror][Heal Area][Blood Of The Master][/build] "

I understood the 6 skills for the bar but when it came to skill point allocation I got lost.

death=12+1+3
soul=10+1
Heal = 8?

Where are these + 1's and +3's coming from? are the equipment bonuses or are they quest related?

Your Grim Reaper,
~Mr.Fine

Runes attach to your armor and have various bonuses including +1 +2 +3 to a particular attribute line.

Your headpeice always has an inherent +1 so if you needed 15 Curses you would have 12 +2rune +1 inherent.

You can find rune traders in large outposts throughout the game,I would advise against them at level7 as although beneficial,they do come with a -35health or -75health clause,which won't be good at such a low level.

I see so it would look like

Death 10 (SP) 1+(head piece inherit) +3 (rune) .....ect?

Also when i look at my head piece ( N scar pattern) i only see a 5+ armor boost is the inherit a ninja stat buff or do i not have it?

Rune of superior death magic on your headpeice which you need to craft with the +1 Death magic already on it.

What campaign are you playing in? And your nearest outpost?

MrFine you can refund and reassign your attribute points anytime you are in an outpost or town. Further if you press the k key you will see an icon that looks like an old floppy disk. The menu under this will let you save your build including attribute point assignments and your skill bar. This means that later on you can switch between builds by loading a build, switching your hat if necessary, and perhaps choosing a different weapon.

All of this seems strange at first. But GW does not require you to write your attribute assignments in stone, quite the opposite.

Like Wilebill said, you can freely assign and reassign your attribute points without penalty while in an outpost. GW is very friendly that way in that it let's you freely experiment without risk to screw things up.

It would seem you haven't crafted any new armor yet. You are still wearing the starter stuff, that is why you don't see any stat buff on your head piece.

As you play through the game, you'll come across armorers. You can craft stronger better armor through them. They also have head pieces that give you a +1 buff to any stat (for your profession only).
